The Global Forum on Human Settlements held its 18th annual session at COP28, the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference, in cooperation with WANGO and 20 other international organizations. Over 40 leaders and experts, including from the UN, government, business, and academia, contributed to the conference, which urged the development of innovative governance structures for cities and leveraging the digital revolution to make communities and cities greener, smarter, and more resilient.

The LDC5 gathered world leaders, parliamentarians, civil society, the private sector, and young people to advance new ideas, raise new pledges of support, and spur delivery on agreed commitments through the Doha Programme of Action (DPoA), a 10-year plan to put the world's 46 most vulnerable countries back on track to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). WANGO was a participant in the conference.

The 17th Annual Session of the Global Forum on Human Settlements convened more than 80 leaders from the UN, government, business, and academia to discuss how to make cities resilient, carbon-neutral and nature-positive and deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Paris Agreement. The virtual event was co-organized and supported by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), UN Development Programme (UNDP), International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), WANGO, and 20 other international organizations.

July 14, 2022 - Summary Report
This online event explored the role of civil society in the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021-2030) to mobilize and align action towards successful engagement of organizations within the Decade and beyond. It was co-hosted by the International Federation on Ageing (IFA); the International Longevity Centre Global Alliance (ILC Global Alliance); HelpAge International; and the NGO Committee on Ageing, Geneva.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and WANGO held this webinar which covered how to navigate the USAID partnership process and introduced the platform, a free resource hub that includes a Partner Directory, a Pre-Engagement Assessment that organizations can use to evaluate their readiness to partner with the agency, and a library of tools and resources.

Accelerate Green Transformation and Innovation Towards Healthy, Resilient, and Carbon-neutral Cities

The 16th Annual Session of the Global Forum on Human Settlements brought together more than 110 leaders from the UN, government, business, and academia to share their insights on uniting world cities to tackle climate change. The virtual event, which was held in observance of World Cities Day, was co-organized and supported by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), World Wildlife Fund (WWF), WANGO, and 20 other international organizations.
