NGOs working in the Sahel region invited to participate in a survey (deadline: June 30)

Are you involved in a national or international NGO, aid agency, or UN agency working in the French-speaking Sahel region?

Efiscens invites you to participate in a survey on resource mobilization by national NGOs that takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.

The findings of this study will be utilized to offer an inventory of the possible ways a national NGO can mobilize resources and information on how such organizations can develop a sustainable resource strategy.

Call for applications: Swiss Re Foundation's Shine Programme (deadline: June 19)

The Swiss Re Foundation invites founders of early-stage enterprises in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore that offer innovative, market-based solutions to problems related to natural hazards, climate risk, and healthcare access to apply to the Southeast Asia edition of its flagship social entrerpreneurship program, Shine.

The winning applicant will participate in the six-month immersive learning program spread across four modules starting in January 2025 in which they will be partnered with Swiss Re experts and leadership and business coaches to develop a strategic, financially viable business. After completing Shine, the selected entrepreneur will be considered for a financial award of up to SGD 40,000 in June 2025 to fuel their enterprise’s growth.

The application deadline is June 19 and the selected entrepreneur will be announced by mid-August.

Catalysing Change Week 2024, May 6-10

Catalyst 2030 will hold its annual Catalysing Change Week (CCW), the world’s largest event led by social innovators and entrepreneurs to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and accelerate collaborative systems change, from May 6 to 10.

This year’s hybrid, offline and online event will be dedicated to “Building the Social Innovation Sector” and comprise of activities and over 100+ action-oriented sessions focused on (1) policy, (2) thought leadership, and (3) innovative solutions that will build the sector.

Catalyst 2030 is a fast-growing global movement of people and organizations committed to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 that was launched at the World Economic Forum in January 2020.
