Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsoring a program or online resource of WANGO provides an opportunity to reach nonprofit leaders and professionals, policymakers, academics, and others worldwide as well as support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Worldwide NGO Directory

The Worldwide NGO Directory is one of the largest, most comprehensive directories of nonprofit organizations in the world. It is regularly accessed by NGOs, governmental and intergovernmental bodies, universities, and businesses to conduct research on and connect and partner with NGOs. Sponsorship enables a new directory to be created and maintained.

UN Sustainable Development Goal
Code of Ethics and Conduct for NGOs Online Course

Developed by a committee of NGO leaders from 42 nations, the Code of Ethics and Conduct for NGOs is a set of fundamental principles, operational principles, and standards to guide the actions and management of NGOs. Sponsorship enables an online course to be produced that any organization can complete to apply the Code of Ethics to their organization and self-certify that their organization is in alignment with the Code. In essence, the course provides guidance to NGOs to have a system of proper governance in place.

UN Sustainable Development Goal
Capacity-building Workshop for NGOs in Africa

The capacity-building workshop will train NGO leaders from across Africa on "Governance, Ethics, and Funding for NGOs" over several days. It is expected that those trained will impart the knowledge they have learned to their peers in their countries. Sponsorship of this program provides a special opportunity to support the advancement of good governance, accountability, and ethical leadership in and strengthening of the NGO sector in Africa.

UN Sustainable Development Goal
WANGO Awards

The WANGO Awards program honors NGOs from throughout the world that demonstrate extraordinary effort, service, innovation, and excellence. It also recognizes exceptional individuals whose work involves them with the non-governmental community. Award recipients include Ashoka (U.S.); Bahrain Women's Society; Green Belt Movement (Kenya); Inuit Circumpolar Council (Canada); and Dr. Federico Mayor Zaragoza, former Director-General of UNESCO. Sponsorship of an award raises awareness of the outstanding contributions of NGOs to humanity and supports excellence in the non-governmental sector, while showing your organization's commitment to social impact and building a better world.
